Matt started sailing at the age of 7 in JY-Trainers then moved into Optis. He earned his way onto the US National Optimist Team two times in 2005, and travelled with the National Team to Italy and Denmark to compete. In 2006, he started sailing Laser Radials, Club 420s and keelboats competitively around the USA. In 2008, he and two crewmembers represented Area F when they competed in Chicago at the US Sailing Triple-handed Youth Championship. Matt is a certified US Sailing Level 1 Small Boat Instructor, with First Aid and CPR from The Red Cross. In 2008, he was the Sailing Instructor at Missouri Yacht Club. In 2007 and 2008, he was the Assistant Sailing Coach with Ninnescah Sailing Association in Wichita, KS, where he taught beginner and experienced sailors in Optis, Sunfish, and Club 420s.

Registration at the regatta will be conducted On Saturday, June 13, 2009, between 8:30 am and 10:30 am. Execution of a Liability Release Agreement as set forth in the Registration Form shall be required. Parents are required to provide a signed Medical Consent Form to enable other adults to obtain emergency medical services. Overall Fees: Regatta Fees ($15 before June 9, 2009, $25 after June 9, 2009 - If with crew $30 before June 9, 2009, $40 after June 8, 2009) CSSA Membership $15 family, $10 regular(If not already a member)
